“ Friendly if slightly ordinary local pub on the Grosvenor Road. Food was tasty if unspectacular, and the beer list is about what you'd expect. Still, the place has a certain rundown charm and we were welcomed, even as obvious tourists. Good place for a quick bite if you're in the area. ”
“ Pimlico £4.95 Amstel Traditional nautical themed pub with a village pub feel. . My Son and I visited here back in May on a mooch around Pimlico and this was the most traditional boozer we visited in the area. The pub is just a five minute walk from Pimlico Tube and pretty easy to get to. The one thing you notice as you approach the pub is how different the building is compared to the surrounding buildings of the Tachbrook estate which was built at the back of the pub after the WWII. Inside you immediately get a feeling you’ve walked in to a village pub out in the sticks, there is a real cosy relaxed feel here. The decor is traditional with a nautical theme running through out with some amazing model ships and a proper red pub carpet for good measure. Due to covid restrictions at the time it was table service only and we were served by a really nice lady who took our order. The pub has plenty going on to keep you entertained with live music, quiz nights, pool table and darts. . This pub was a great find and it was great to visit a pub that hasn’t had to change it’s environment to attract punters. I loved this traditional old school boozer which evoked memories of how the pub landscape looked prior to the mid 90’s. “ Yes there’s no food served at this pub however, they are always welcome to you ordering/bringing your own food. It’s a nice and homey pub that would be ideal for any age in my opinion. The atmosphere is nice and relaxed with amazing music. It’s normally a quiet pub but do remember if there’s a big match there may be a lot more people. I think this is one of the best pubs I’ve been to in London just because of how comfortable, and again, homey it feels. The drink prices are normal for a pub in Westminster to be honest actually on the cheaper side to other pubs here. The bartenders are all really friendly and welcoming so there’s not really any complaints. If you’re driving and it doesn’t seem like there’s parking, try Aylesford street is has parking (not free) but it does have it. There’s also charging ports for electric cars so if need be you could charge your car and stop for a drink. ”
